Nicholas Richu

I’m Nick. A builder and product manager interested in data infrastructure, better developer experiences, and solving real problems with AI systems.

I’ve spent most of my career on growth at developer tool companies.

At Airbyte I owned self-serve, and at Honeycomb I owned developer experience. Before those I was on the PM teams behind Consul service mesh at HashiCorp and IBM Cloud Satellite. Most recently I spent six months building VectorFlow, which has since been shut down. It was a tool for getting high quality data into a vector database for retrieval-based systems.

I write here to think through product challenges, dig into interesting technologies and how they apply to real problems, and occasionally share thoughts on books, travel, or whatever else is on my mind.

Outside of work, beach volleyball has my heart. I love learning Spanish and salsa, going on intense hikes, and finding excuses to travel whenever I can.
